  **The Evil Within** is a survival horror video game developed by **Tango Gameworks** and published by **Bethesda Softworks**.

The plot starts as detective Sebastian Castellanos is being called to a crime scene in Beacon Memorial Hospital. He is accompanied by his two partners Joseph Oda and Juli Kidman. Upon arriving they noticed that there were no people at the crime scene just police cars with their flashers still turned on. They split up and investigate the area.

Detective Castellanos finds himself in the security room and witnessed his partners being killed by something unseen in one of the screens. He then gets knocked out by something behind him and wakes up hanging by his feet in the hospital’s basement. He struggled to free himself and was chased by a supernatural being wielding a chainsaw. Upon escaping the hospital, he finds himself in a totally different world where confusion, fear and unthinkable horrors are just around the corner.

You have to navigate and survive hostile environments, switching through alternate realities. Manage the very limited resources available. Quick wit is indeed your best friend as there are a lot of traps that if not handled carefully will kill you.
