F1 2022 is the officially licensed racing video game of the FIA Formula 1 world championship, enjoy the new features of the 2022 season which include redesigned cars, overhauled rules to redefine race day, the new Miami International Autodrome, and get the taste of the glitz and glamour of the F1 life. Race with the authentic lineup for 2022, twenty drivers and 10 teams or create a team yourself and take them to the front of the grid with new depth in the acclaimed My team career mode, and of course a few multiplayer game modes like head-to-head or split-screen races are also available if you want a more multiplayer experience.
- As mentioned, before you will be able to pilot stunning new cars with a new handling model that recreates the intense, wheel-to-wheel racing that will have you on the edge of your seat. You will also get to visit the iconic Miami International Autodrome with its palm trees and 19 challenging corners.
- You will be able to take control of your experience just the way you like it, with the opportunity to switch between immersive and broadcast-style formation laps, safety car periods, and pit stops. F1 2022 will also include VR compatibility for PC with Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
- A new AI system will tailor your experience based on your skill level; less experienced players will find themselves going toe to toe with them in each race. The Iconic my Team game mode will allow you to choose your starting budget, and work for your team from the ground up and the Career mode will allow you to work your way through 10 years’ worth of races.
Reviews
When it’s all said and done, F1 22 is more than just another entry in the longstanding F1 series. The game is continuing a long legacy of racing simulators and so you might say that it goes from pole position straight to the win. This is the best Formula 1 game to date. There’s something in it for everyone, from casual racers to seasoned professionals.
While the inclusion of F1 Life is a weird step, it can mostly be ignored, and ditching Braking Point sheds some weight from the game. 22 brings a whole suite of improvements to what was already a very good series, and I look forward to it consuming my life for the next few months at least.
